Riki Bookshop Returns Policy
At Riki Bookshop, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If something isn’t quite right, we’ve made returning items simple and customer-friendly.
1. Eligibility for Returns
You may return items within 7 business days from the date of pickup, provided the item is:
– In its original packaging, complete and unused
– In the same condition as received, with tags and seals intact
– Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
Accepted return reasons include:
– Wrong item received
– Defective, damaged, or faulty on arrival
– Does not match the product description
Returns initiated after 7 business days, or for reasons like change of mind or used/damaged products, may not be accepted.
2. How to Return
1. Email us at damages@rikibookshop.co.ke with your order details and reason for return. You can also call or WhatsApp us on +254 793 923 380
2. We’ll send you a Return Authorisation (RA) number within 1 business day.
3. Pack the item securely with RA clearly on the package.
4. Return the package via your preferred courier within 3 business days of receiving the RA.
You’re responsible for return shipping unless the item is damaged, incorrect, or faulty.
3. Refunds & Exchanges
Once we receive and inspect your return:
– Defective/Wrong Items: Full refund (including original shipping) or exchange.
– Matches Description but Unsuitable: Refund for the product only, minus original shipping.
Refunds are processed within 10 business days, using the same payment method.
4. Exceptions & Exclusions
Certain items may not qualify for returns:
– Books with broken packaging, missing inserts, or visibly used
– Customized or personalized items
– Clearance or deeply discounted items
We also reserve the right to refuse a return if the product doesn’t meet these policy conditions.
5. Damaged & Faulty Items on Delivery
If an item arrives damaged:
– Do not sign the delivery receipt as complete.
– Take photos of the damage and packaging.
– Notify us within 24 hours at damages@rikibookshop.co.ke or call us at +254 793 923 380.
We’ll arrange a prompt replacement, pick-up, or full refund depending on your preference.
